Further editions of mountain camps inspired by John Paul II co organized by our Foundation

Since last year, our Foundation has been co organizing mountain expeditions during which students explore the teaching of Saint John Paul II. The summer season brings new editions of these initiatives.

Marian Markiewicz, the renowned driver of Card. Wojtyła, has passed away

At the age of 75, Brother Marian Markiewicz CFCI passed away, the former driver of Cardinal Karol Wojtyła. It was he who drove him to the memorable 1978 conclave.

Farewell to Ewa Bednarkiewicz (1938–2026)

At the age of 88, Ewa Bednarkiewicz passed away in Warsaw. She was the President of the Circle of Friends of the Foundation in Poland, a member of the Administrative Council for three terms, and an exceptionally dedicated guardian of the legacy of St John Paul II. Pope Benedict XVI honoured her with the Order of St Sylvester.

John Paul II Youth Indonesia Visits Elderly Care Home

On Saturday, 20 June 2026, the “John Paul II Youth Indonesia” community, affiliated with the Friends of the Vatican John Paul II Foundation in Indonesia, carried out its regular charity visit to the Taman Gracelil Nursing Home in the Diocese of Bogor, Indonesia. Around 30 young members took part in the outreach.

Visit of Our Administrator to New York

From 2 to 10 June, Monsignor Dariusz Giers, Administrator of the John Paul II Vatican Foundation, visited the Friends’ Chapter in New York.

The Center for Documentation and Research of the Pontificate of John Paul II in Rome, operated by our Foundation, has begun cooperation with the Ossoliński National Institute. A significant exhibition is now behind us.

Another group of our scholarship recipients completes their five year studies

The scholarship programme of our Foundation has enabled another group of students to complete their university studies. With this year’s graduates, we have now supported the education of 1,147 students.
